12 personnel puts a ton of stress on the defense because they have to prepare for the run with bigger bodies. Play action it and hit Wesco over the top. Sign me upWith the incredible amount of talent we have at WR, I can't imagine us running much 12 personnel....we'd be taking some of our best playmakers off the field.
Marquise’s godfather is on this site. Hopefully he will join the discussion with details.Just curious, with the coaching staff showing us their lack of confidence in current RB depth, does Marquise Henderson get a shot there first? I know he was recruited as an athlete and the early returns had him in the slot, I just think we have more proven depth at WR. From the clips I’ve seen, he’d be a dynamic option out of the backfield as both a run/catch option. Thoughts?
*realizing Gideon is option 1 here, but adding MH for depth
I’m officially here 🤗Marquise’s godfather is on this site. Hopefully he will join the discussion with details.

We don’t have to run it a lot for it to be effective.
As I’ve stated here multiple times 90% of his yards in high school have come between the tackles. He is probably as strong of a player for his size as I’ve seen. We will find out shortly. His vision and cuts are special which is why I’ve alway seen him as a RB.Marquise Henderson has been durable for 4 years. He is tougher than Mafah by a mile. On a TD run this year he stopped at the 2 so he could knock the defensive back 5 yards deep into the end zone. Toughest player on the field! He runs through holes, other backs never see.
Pretty silly to say he’s “tougher by a mile” than a guy who played almost half the season with a torn labrum. I’m going to go out on a limb and say you’ve never had a torn labrum.Marquise Henderson has been durable for 4 years. He is tougher than Mafah by a mile. Preach Brother. For his weight, he's incredibly strong in the weight room.As I’ve stated here multiple times 90% of his yards in high school have come between the tackles. I don’t see how he doesn’t redshirt unless he can specialize as a kick returner or something like that. A RS is probably best for him to see how his body develops and get some distance between the other slot WRs/RBs.Pretty silly to say he’s “tougher by a mile” than a guy who played almost half the season with a torn labrum. That said, he’s a guy I’m very much looking forward to seeing this spring. Hopefully he can continue the trend of having a few really impactful freshmen skill guys each year.
Right! I believe Henderson is a 5 star type talent and by far the most explosive skill dude since ETN periodLOL wut???? GTFO of here.
You’re high lolEZ is a solid running back for app state
I’ll be proven right like alwaysYou’re high lol
Like I said, I hope I'm wrong. I'm just going off what I've seen with my own eyes. Nice rational response, though. I can only go off what I see. I'm just a lowly high school football coach that sees hundreds of players a year. If I had never heard his name, I wouldn't see his film and think "Clemson needs this guy!". If that offends you, that is your problem not mine.LOL wut???? GTFO of here.

Huh? Did miss the staff pursuing a transfer RB.Just curious, with the coaching staff showing us their lack of confidence in current RB depth
@hopefultiger13 gonna be jealousYou’re high lol
Stupid ass comment. Mafah played the whole season one arm with a shoulder 99% of draft eligible kids would have opted for surgery. He is tougher than Mafah by a mile.
Do you coach in Kershaw County?Like I said, I hope I'm wrong. I'm just going off what I've seen with my own eyes. Nice rational response, though. I can only go off what I see. Dude... Why didn't we hire you to be our OC?!12 personnel puts a ton of stress on the defense because they have to prepare for the run with bigger bodies. Play action it and hit Wesco over the top. Sign me up

@BHPTiger Would you help clear some stuff up if you can? Ive heard Quise has had some issues outside of football and is not the best kid? I find that hard to believe considering Clemson doesnt recruit just anyone. Have heard it a time or two and was just wondering if you knew of anything? As I’ve stated here multiple times 90% of his yards in high school have come between the tackles. How fast were we in 2011? Obviously not an easy thing to measure but I imagine that had to be up there. Sammy, Ellington, Bellamy? Just off the top of my head.Bold. But you might be right.
Darren Sproles a bit taller? As I’ve stated here multiple times 90% of his yards in high school have come between the tackles. He is probably as strong of a player for his size as I’ve seen. We will find out shortly. His vision and cuts are special which is why I’ve alway seen him as a RB.
No. I spent 10 years at Greer and I just finished my first season at Riverside. Originally from Fairfield County, so not far from Kershaw.Do you coach in Kershaw County?
He won’t be running through anyone at 170 lbs. Needs to keep developing his body but he does look like a future starMarquise Henderson has been durable for 4 years. Were you the OC at Greer when yall had the skinner kid at TE and the white boy at WR that could GO??No. I spent 10 years at Greer and I just finished my first season at Riverside. Originally from Fairfield County, so not far from Kershaw.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong. I hope he absolutely balls out. The film I saw was from early in the season & then I watched the state game. I'd love to see him be a monster in orange.sometimes kids just make it look easy. No HS coach that I've talked to, that has played against him, has echoed your thoughts. Hopefully you're wrong but that dude is a playmaker.
Everyone knew who was getting the ball and who they had to stop to beat BHP...no one could do it
Gotcha I just know a guy with the last name Wilkes whose first initial is T. Didn’t know if you happened to be that personNo. I spent 10 years at Greer and I just finished my first season at Riverside. Originally from Fairfield County, so not far from Kershaw.

I don’t know where he fits into the offense. He’s too small to play running back right now and he’s unproven at receiver. Could he add weight and play RB around 190? Possibly. But does that take a step off his top speed? And how long does it take him to add enough weight to play RB? MileSplit has his 100m PR at 11.17. That’s fast, but it’s not electric fast to me. He plays pretty fast, and I think he probably plays faster than an 11.17 guy. He has very limited experience running routes so he’s going to take some time to develop if he ends up in the slot, but that’s where I see him more so than in the backfield. He has virtually no experience picking up blitzing LBs in pass pro, as BHP is extremely run heavy. Pass pro is one of the hardest things for young RBs to pick up & most are coming out of spread offenses in high school where they were already doing it. I’m not bashing him. Obviously he was a great high school player and I hope he develops into a great Clemson player. I’m not rooting for him to fail by any means. I was just merely stating my opinion, no different than anyone else. You're literally the only coach/recruiter who has ever had this opinion about him to my knowledge. The kid is electric.
I’ve heard pretty similar thoughts from a friend who coaches in the upstate and faced him I think twice. I have wondered about him ever since then. I know we have plenty of local guys here that have seen him play and many are excited about him but I do wonder if we’re expecting too much out of this kid. I hope he’s a great player for us but just wanted to say you’re not alone in your thoughtsI've watched him play complete games multiple times. I hope I am wrong, but I don't see him ever being more of a depth guy at Clemson. If he becomes "the guy" at Clemson, either I am way off on what I see from him (which I would be happy about), or our RB room has continued to trend downward. I'd love to be wrong about him, though. Maybe he is a totally different player out in the slot, but I don't see a big time player in him.

He's on campus. Made it to class day 1. It's a start. And much further than most around him seen him going. Great kid. Fighting some things that are out of his control (home).@BHPTiger Would you help clear some stuff up if you can? Ive heard Quise has had some issues outside of football and is not the best kid? Good to hear. If there’s one thing for sure it’s that the best place he could be is Clemson. He's on campus. Made it to class day 1. It's a start. And much further than most around him seen him going. Great kid. Fighting some things that are out of his control (home).
