I know Gaetz is a big sound clip guy but, other than a few semi viral moments from questioning during hearings, does he have any major accomplishments?
DeSantis can now call for a primary to replace him so that the vote can take place by February in time for new session. He could appoint Gaetz to the Senate Seat for fun.
The issue with that is then what does DeSantis do in a few years when that seat is up for grabs? Since he’s on his last term as governor he would be an idiot to appoint anyone other than someone who just agrees to serve out the term so that DeSantis can then win the Senate seat via general election. Now it would be hilarious for DeSantis to appoint Gaetz and then primary him
