Not sure Gowdy is relevant any more. Not a fan of his anyway. Went to a paid speech of his and all he chose to focus on was race. We are past that, we need to move forward. Gowdy does not carry any weight in this party.
Gaetz will be appointed through recess. It's a done deal.
I judge people by their hair and Gowdy has the best so you should listen to him. Gaetz is not exactly a pillar of integrity and you know he's hated by everybody, including his own party, so do you really think he'll execute the law faithfully and fairly? Do you think he'll have the respect of the ~6000 govt. employees that fall under him? Without that, that department will crumble and firing that many employees won't help either. That appointment has train wreck written all over it.
If you are judging by hair then Gaetz can't be that far behind Gowdy. lol
Do i think he will execute the law faithfully and fairly? Absolutley, yes i do. And i suspect he will do a much better job than Merrick Garland.
Gaetz as AG will prevent Trump from getting railroaded by the DOJ like in his previous administration and post presidency. No one can fault Trump for wanting a loyalist after the way Democrats treated him.
In the end, i think Gaetz will do a great job. Trump won so we deserve to give him his chance to govern unimpeded by hoaxes, a luxury he was not afforded his first term.
We will see what happens.
I saw Gowdy speak at the Hibernian Annual Banquet (St. Patrick's Day) and came away very impressed. I thought he was really good.
An AG should be picked for their competence and their ability to protect all citizens, not as a tool to own the libs and draw outside the lines in order to corruptly execute the plans of a president hell-bent on revenge. The AG should operate independently of the president, not as his hammer.

Gowdy is an establishment tool in the Republican party. He is right there with Nikki Haley so he is against MAGA and a lot of them hate Gaetz for being instrumental in the ouster of Kevin McCarthy.
