Clean it up.

I read the Medicaid provisions in the bill. Enough lying about this. Here are the facts, please send to a leftist:

1. The work requirements that the bill is trying to implement would only apply to young able-bodied adults who have no children. 40% of Medicaid expansion recipients are 19–34, and childless.

2. The work requirement is only for 80 hours of work per month. Please read that again if you are young and able-bodied and you refuse to go to work for 80 hours a month, then I shouldn’t have to subsidize your freaking healthcare. Sorry, not sorry.

3. 1.4 million illegals will be kicked off the program. That is currently how many illegals are not able to provide proof of citizenship and are still enrolled in this program that we know of.

4. No more money to planned parenthood. Again, don’t force the public to pay for your abortion or your transgender cross hormone therapy drugs.

5. There is a requirement for updated information to be provided twice a year so they can make sure you still qualify and don’t just collect Medicaid. And because of just that simple little task the CBO predicts that it’s possible that 7.7 million people will lose their coverage. Well then, why don’t you just have them learn some goddamn responsibility and send in the paperwork.

6. CBO (which is a disgrace now that I understand how they actually come up with numbers) predicts that 7.6M-13.7M people will lose their insurance by 2034.

That includes 7.7 million people who refuse to fill out the paperwork to verify eligibility and retain benefits.

1.4 million illegals.

2.8M to 3.2M young able-bodied CHILDLESS workers who won’t be able to meet the 80 hour per month work requirement.

There is not one person who can look at those set of facts and have a problem with the portions of this bill that create work requirements, eligibility verification, and the removal of illegal aliens from the Medicaid benefits.

Not one. Don’t let the Democrats gaslight you into oblivion about this.

This is extremely common sense.

14 million people MAY lose their insurance, that number is an estimate from the CBO and what the Democratic Party will never tell you is how that ESTIMATE is calculated:

1. The CBO estimates that 7.7 million people will lose Medicaid coverage by 2034 because they will not fill out the eligibility requirement paperwork and send it in twice a year.

2. The CBO also estimates that 1.4 million people will lose Medicaid coverage because they are here illegally.

3. The CBO estimates that there are anywhere from 3.2 to 4.9 million people ages 19 to 34 who are able-bodied and childless, but will still fail to meet the 80 hour a month work requirement to continue to receive Medicaid.

That is what the Democrats are not telling you when they continuously tell you that 14 million people are going to lose their health insurance.

They are shameless and disgusting liars and I have no nicer way of saying that I apologize.

Democrats want to keep this scam running.

‼️Medicaid money is being given to private labor unions, hundreds of millions on house keeping services, paying off people’s student loans and more.

Doctor Oz, the new Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, says they've already found billions in fraud. He says that this fraud is the greatest existential threat to the most vulnerable Americans.

- They found a billion dollars in Medicare funds spent to cover people registered in multiple states, but presumably only living in one
- $200 million spent on housekeeping services in instead of health care
- $10 million on student loans from Medicaid
- $11 million was spent on child care benefits for labor unions. They are private organizations, my friends. Is Medicaid money going to pay your babysitting costs?
- $31 million just last week was stopped from going out the door in fraudulent spending.

He says much of it is the result of organized criminal efforts, some from foreign nations.

I was with you until point 4. You think planned parenthood only gives abortions and trans gender support because you’re brainwashed. If you want a huge spike in STDs and losing support for pregnant women then I agree end PP. It seems like a bad idea to me though.

Question for @dpic73 @yoshi121374 @WapPride etc. Let’s take speaker Johnson’s comments at face value. Do you agree or disagree with the following:

Medicaid is for US citizens and those here legally. We should remove illegals from eligibility.

Working age, able-bodied adults should not be eligible for Medicaid without working, volunteering, caregiving, or educating themselves a minimum of 20 hours per week (I think this is the proposed rule, though I think it should be higher).

Or, do you think my family and your families should be forced to pay for people here illegally and also able-bodied adults unwilling to put forth bare minimum effort?

To me, this wouldn’t even be a debate with the Bill Clinton led democrat party.

It's complicated but with everything coming from the right side of the aisle these days, you can rarely trust what they say to be accurate or fact-based. I've looked but there don't appear to be any credible sources that support his claims, so I'll consider this red-meat for the base until proven otherwise.

Undocumented aliens are forbidden from accessing federal Medicaid benefits except for emergency care, though some states have expanded coverage, but these aren't federal Medicaid dollars. There are also legal immigrants who qualify for coverage but none of these qualify as fraudulent so it looks to me like he's using these examples to intentionally confuse the issue.

Most able-bodied adults on Medicaid are already working, mainly in low-wage jobs that either don't provide insurance or it's unaffordable to people in that income bracket. Others could be students, caregivers, people who've been laid-off, those in chronic pain or considered mentally disabled, even though they may appear able-bodied on the outside.

Having said that, if there are actual able-bodied people with no disabilities who are voluntarily not working, then sure, I'm with you, but the available data doesn't corroborate the numbers he throws around in his statement. So put me down as someone who considers this to be fear-mongering to incite the base, for the most part.

I understand the skepticism and appreciate the reply. So I think we are all in agreement that illegal aliens and non-contributing members of society are banned from receiving government funded healthcare. Right?

1. Neither Medicaid, nor CHIPS, is available for undocumented individuals. However, they do get emergency treatment at hospitals should it be necessary.

2. Agreed with bullet 2.

3. I don't have an issue paying extra to make sure people are given medical support. I know that i'm probably in the minority, but I believe it's our duty to help those who can't help themselves. If that means I pay a little more, then sure I can live with that. I understand that won't be a popular opinion on this message board full of southern Christians, but that's how I feel.

edit: i'll add a little extra to bullet 3 - i do understand there are people that exploit the system and are taking advantage. I would like to see better efforts to fix that, but not at the expense of hurting people that truly need the support. IDK how you do that, but personally, i'd rather see a few people gaming the system and ensuring 100% of the needy actually receive the support vs ensuring no one is gaming the system and people who actually need the services not get them.

The govt can and has to ensure that fraud is minimized and that qualified needy individuals receive assistance. Not an either or deal imo.

This is just paying Medicaid for illegals and bums.

California has approximately 65% more residents than Florida, yet the federal government has been giving California over 300% more money for its Medicaid program.

AND

Florida has roughly four million more residents than New York, yet the federal government has been giving New York over $20 billion MORE for Medicaid than Florida.

We need to make the Big Beautiful Bill even better by making sure it treats red states fairly.
