Mexican Navy Ship Crash

Did you read the article? He didn't rush to blame anything. He said they need to review if any of the DOGE cuts could have lead to this accident.

It is funny reading the NYPost article, vs something like KOMO, to see how these outlets tailor stories to their audiences.

I grabbed the wrong article. I try as a general rule to not go for the ones with the blatantly skewed headlines. I don't like it no matter which way it goes. I didn't do that here. No question about it.

But with that said, lets not pretend that Schumer didn't rush out to question Trump aand Doge purely to throw sh*t into the wind.

The Coast Guard has already come out and said that DOGE has had no effect.

Agree on clickbait titles. Turns me off even if the actual article is great and informative. Honestly feel for the journalists on a lot of them since it's usually the editor who does the title.

Also don't really like mentioning something that isn't yet connected just because it could be connected in the future. Mentioning DOGE cuts as a possible cause prior to an investigation being done counts as that for me. Now, if someone is asked "Could the DOGE cuts have impacted this incident?" and they answer that it should be looked in to? No issues on that for me.

Felt the same on the plane/helicopter crash and rushing to blame DEI before anything of the sort was known. Just investigate it first, and then share the results.

I agree. Captain and crew of that ship will probably be blamed because they didn't cut loose an Anchor when the engine failed. I think that is going to be a big one.
