My son is a rising 6th grader who’s about to turn 12. I’m thinking about getting him a new football helmet.
I’m in between getting him a varsity or a youth because he’s only got a couple years of “youth” football left.
Possible options:
+ Light Apache Varsity
+ Riddell Speedflex Varsity
+ Riddell Speedflex Youth
A lot of these ideas have come from the VT helmet ratings site as these 3 options rate well there. (especially compared to the very old Riddell his school gives him)
Any coaches or football dads have any thoughts here?
