Don't confuse empathy with questioning the situation. A lot of the details don't add up. I hope and pray that a thorough investigation will provide clarity and prevent these situations from happening again.
What happened to these families is horrific and evil and has no place in society regardless of party. I hate it for the children, families, loved ones, friends and continue to pray for them and our country.
@TigerGrowls what would it take for you to say they were wrong? What is the goalpost?
Because right now it looks like 99% of available information says he was MAGA, so it just appears like you just don’t want to believe it or say you were wrong, and so you’re just waiting on a viable conspiracy theory to appear that you can throw in with that means you aren’t wrong.
There are people who I agree with on some things that do things that are batsh!t insane. That have had a mental breakdown and done things horrible. Doesn’t mean our positions (me and the insane person) are wrong. Just means we had those positions in common.
For me, even though he is MAGA, it should still stand as a reminder to both sides to cool the rhetoric and hopefully get back to the art of compromise that our country was built on. Trying to find a path forward that may not be 100% what anyone wants, but is better than the day before for all.

Your last sentence was literally my entire point of my last two paragraphs. Admitting someone on your side did something wrong in no way has to invalidate an entire movement or your opinions etc. Literally my point. I am in no way saying someone MAGA having a mental break and doing something horrible means anything about MAGA. But its also dumb to ignore all the currently available evidence to act like he wasn't MAGA.
I don't see it as concluded yet but if it becomes concluded that he supported maga then so what? No skin off my back and does not affect the Trump administration at all.
Conversely if it turns out that a MN employee of tampon tim murdered a Democrat representative right after she voted against dems on a huge issue then its a huge scandal.
