I now firmly believe that there should be no automatic right to vote in this country. You should have to pass an ignorance and competence test first.
Most people would pass an "ignorance" test.
"Competence" however............

We just found about 20 people that failed both. Search #Mizzou #concernedstudent1950 or #blacklivesmatter and I'm sure we could add a few more to the list. Most people would pass an "ignorance" test.

I wonder what @crk1979 thinks about these protesters now. He's probably there on campus creating safe spaces for them.
Fair enough.Sorry man. I come here for football and I've now realized that it's better to keep it that way. Our views are just so different and what's the point of trying to convince each other in a football message board. At least we have one thing in common..."Go Tigers!!"
I'm pretty sure he was talking in general terms and not just referencing the singular tweet by that girl. Not sure what the Confederate flag has to do with anything.
A lot of the tweeters keep referring to the KKK, (which, btw, is so small it isn't worthy of mention and has killed no one I've heard about in decades), and the Klan has NOTHING to do with the Confederate flag. Their official flag is the US flag. It is the ONLY flag on their website and the only flag that must b at their meetings according to their bylaws.
I'm sorry, the facts stand in clear opposition to your contention.
"They" are the people who want you to be ashamed to be white or to be ashamed of your heritage. Act as if it doesn't exist.
It would be no different than me trying to shame black people for their African heritage.
We can get along and still embrace our past and acknowledge that people are different. It's okay.
We can't even like the same candy and you expect us to get along? We are doomed I tell ya........DOOMED!
If true, **** Missouri. And the horse they rode in on.
The real problem isn't Missouri; it's the damnyankee socialist liberal educators at our institutions of higher learning, which teach a mindset of victimology. If true, **** Missouri. And the horse they rode in on.
So do you agree business like BET, Negro College Fund, NAACP, and The Miss Black America Pageant should not be allowed? I mean these types of organizations drive a divide in the races. I agree we should all join hands but to be honest the split is not reserved to the doing of white people only.Until we start losing monikers like African-American and stop waving the flag of a 150 year old dead country in the name of heritage. Until we can just be Americans things like this will continue to divide us. If you were born in America you are an American nothing else and your heritage is only one flag!
You think blacks havent been shamed by their heritage?
I can tell that you don't like a very small minority trying 'shame your heritage'. It's not fun for you. Why would it be any different for someone else, as a minority, being shamed by a small portion of a racial majority? Why is that upsetting to you?
My problem with what's going on in Missouri is not the why, I understand why, it's the how that seems to be problematic.
Didnt say is was just the doing of white people. But to answer your question. Yes i do agree. So do you agree business like BET, Negro College Fund, NAACP, and The Miss Black America Pageant should not be allowed? I mean these types of organizations drive a divide in the races. But my point is the "Doing of white people" is the narrative that is pushed. It is almost like I am supposed to feel ashamed to be white. Not saying you are doing that just saying racial tensions go both ways. If one side stops it does not eliminate the issue.Didnt say is was just the doing of white people. But to answer your question. Yes i do agree.
