👏👏 kudos to mlb for doing what needed doing. Young people will now know what base stealing and real hitting looks like. Launch angle and exit velocity are the 2 dumbest things to ever be introduced to the game, and it's hard to overstate that fact (not opinion). Not far behind it is the ghost runner which is just laughably pathetic.
Analytics is baseball played the nerd's way, and it ain't a nerd's game (except for Greg Maddux), and it doesn't really even win championships. There's a couple outliers, but look at the list of WS winners since the analytics virus took over...it's almost exclusively major market teams.
