I’ve taken a day or two to take in the results of the election. Most of yall know, this was not the result I wanted. Now is it one I’m surprised by? No. But not the one I hoped for.
While the candidate I wanted didn’t win, I accept that people in America had a hard time accepting that Kamala would be different for the future. I firmly believe that whoever won, would be set up for a great four years of economic boom which is what really seemed to decide this race.
People are hurting from the rise of inflation and the price of everyday things like groceries. Do I think that is the fault of the Biden/Harris? No I don’t. The US stock market is already crushing it and we are handling the last 4 years since Covid immensely better than any country on this planet.
But every day Americans don’t feel that just yet and I don’t blame them because too many people are living paycheck to paycheck so any flux, can make them feel it hard.
I hope my republican posters can recognize the peaceful transfer of power, the trust in how elections are conducted, and see that while our parties may lose from time to time, that is how a true government functions over time.
Trump will push whatever his agenda will be but I pray he does it for the betterment of all of the country and not to be petty. There are people afraid for their livelihood and he should try to ease those concerns instead of making them an enemy. That would make this country stronger.
Hope all of yall are well and we can be honest about our dialogue going forward. That would bring us closer to solving the issues we have and will have.
