McKinney (6-1, 175) is a teammate of new '16 linebacker commitment Tre Lamar as well as '17 four-star cornerback LeAnthony Williams Jr..
McKinney and Williams are both visiting Clemson today.
We pegged McKinney as one of the standout performers at the Dabo Swinney Football Camp last month. He projects as a safety who can play nickel -- in other words, in the Van Smith/Korrin Wiggins mold -- because of his coverage abilities.
