How about this one? Most Trump voters are older people. The virus was actually created to reduce the amount of Trump voters out there. Studies have shown that CoVid 19 actually disproportionately affected Trump voters and, in conjunction with election theft, enabled Biden to win the Presidency by 10 million votes. Sound reasonable? Now I don't, for a minute believe this, however, this sounds like a conspiracy theory that could be sold to MAGA nation who could, in turn, run with it. This theory is complete bullshit, but would be one of the more plausible conspiracy theories MAGA nation promotes. This is actually the HEART and SOUL of MAGA right here. On one hand, you have a shady NY Liberal Democrat (for most of his life) who makes a career out of self promotion and lying. One the other hand, you have literally thousands of people who been working their entire lives in many cases at a certain job (with the usual ratio of good and bad folks mixed in). But that's not the way a lot of people are. Lot's of people (maybe even most people) are primarily driven by instinct, emotion, or faith in what they believe. Facts don't really move them like they do people like me. It's not an accident that Trump is a big hit among the evangelicals in America. Support for Trump and belief in a religion come from the same place. Facts are simply not the driving force here. You can show a evangelical Christian all the fossil records and evidence for evolution that you want to and that will not shake their belief in Creationism. It's a tenant of their religion and facts are not going to change that b/c it's based on faith, not facts.
Support of Trump comes from that same place. That's why showing Trumpians the facts has no effect. There are folks (and I've done this before) that believe that Trump is a "straight shooter" and tells us the truth. I've shown them video of him saying things that are clearly lies. Probably one of the easiest is the US Steele claim from Trump saying that they were going to open several new factories (thanks to Trump). US Steele immediately said they had no plans to do that and never had, nor had they ever told Trump this. Clearly a lie. The person I showed this too, simply nodded and smiled... and the next day was back to saying what a straight shooter Trump is. And they BELIEVE it.
It is very frustrating to me, but that's the way it is. Hell, there are still people that believe that Jim Baker got a raw deal. That's just how some are.
I'm not gonna say China did that. But they do play by a different set of rules than the US. Remember that the ones this thing tended to kill were the elderly and infirmed (who are, technically, a drag on their economy - as much as I hate to say that).

Speaking of Evangelicals, the wildest thing to me is the belief/support of Trump as a Christian. This guy's attempt to act like a "Christian" is laughable. It's wild that they aren't offended by it, because I sure am as a practicing Christian.

I'm a manager and it's flat impossible to keep a secret at work about the most miniscule thing, but I'm supposed to believe that the government can kill millions, in anplot that would require at least 100s of people can be totally secret and never leak.
China has an age problem, a lot of old people and not enough young people because of their one child policy. So I could see them wanting to wipe out a good number of older citizens.
The only problem with this, of course, is why they would have such stringent lockdowns. They literally had robots chasing people back into their apartments. If they wanted old people dead, you would think the robots would be chasing people out of their apartments.

When you talk about “China” it’s a non-starter. We don’t deal with a country, democracy or a culture. Xi Peing is a totalitarian dictator. He is in total control. He is completely isolated. All that being said imo it’s most likely that the release of the virus was accidental. Xi tried to hide it from the world as long as he could. He may have however realized once the cat was out of the bag that it would benefit himself if he made sure it spread far and wide before admitting it’s outbreak- this DOES make sense completely. He would absolutely drag everyone else down with him to mitigate damage by infecting the rest of the world. This to me is the most logical take of what happened.
