**New** Sunday P.M. Transfer Nuggets

Did I miss a change on the Purdue Fort Wayne guard? Is he still visiting?

In past classes, Brownell has had to take risks with injured players (Lakhin last year and Jack Clark the year before). He also has taken injured highschool players (Ace Buckner and Asa Thomas). I hope he has more leeway this year with a larger salary cap.

Nice to see Lucas’s name mentioned. Great guy. Incredibly hard worker. And had the balls to take this job and move his family back to Clemson the summer before Brad was tournament or fired.
Agree completely re: Lucas. I’ve had the opportunity to sit in the courtside seats on a number of occasions over the past several years, and a member of the staff typically provides a brief scouting report on the opponent before the players take the court for layup drills.

I’ve heard Lucas address the group a few times, and he comes across as a genuinely nice guy and a terrific communicator. He’s a great representative of Clemson basketball, and I’m sure he’s skilled at establishing trust and building relationships with prospective players and their families, as well as others in the profession.

"Billy Donlon's presence is such an important piece of this. He was a crucial part of landing Girard a couple years ago, and his networking has been a key element in making Clemson a portal player."

@CUPLAYER1 are you going to let Larry know how much Dabo sucks after he wrote that comment? 🤣

Larry wasn't trying to diminish what Brad has done with his comments.

You were. Directly.

So no- the 2 are not the same.

And i know 1st hand how hard those guys work behind the scenes. And a major part of the elevation of the program has been the support staff/behind the scenes employees who have been added over the past decade. All at the request and pleas of our Head Coach.

Dabo gets credit for aligning the vision of the football office with that of the Prez and AD and BOT.

Brad has.done the fact thing for the BB program.

To discredit 1 is to discredit both.

Both should be applauded and revered for what they have done. That was the point of my "jab".

They're 1 and the same when it.comes to CU athletics.

Is it safe to assume we feel good about our guards with Dillon, the freshman coming in, and the redshirts coming back from injury? Thus the focus on the stretch 4’s / front line guys?

Or am I reading too much into this?

Do we use the rest of the scholarships on practice squad type of players?
I'm going to say we get to 10/11 scholarships. We have 6/7 pending Reeves return. So we will spend money on 4 guys, maybe 5. But going after too many will divide the pie by more pieces. We just need 2 stud post types. A wing. And a SG. The young core will get time to grow. We have the pieces of our next great team on campus (and coming in soon).

I absolutely give Brad credit for hiring Donlon and the rest of his staff. A head coach gets all the credit for the wins and all the heat for the losses, but they know it takes an entire village pulling in one direction to succeed.

Likewise with Dabo. I made peace with that years ago.

I just fall back to it as a defense to Brad. For reasons stated above. He's earned and made the right calls to elevate this program.

Both are irreplaceable imo for what they do and will continue to do for CU.

Does the staff feel good about the possibilities?
I have no idea. I'm not anywhere near that connected.

I don't think it's a good sign that the 1st 2 left without committing. We typically get those before they leave.
