First of all, I am 100% in favor of players getting paid based on them generating millions of dollars in revenue for the universities they represent.
That said, it's insane that there are numerous players out there commanding more money than Brock Purdy, a guy who came a few plays short of winning a super bowl last year.
And this isn't a thread to pump up Brock Purdy. I'm not even a true Brock Purdy believer, I think he greatly benefits from the best system and front office in the NFL. But results are results, and they are unbelievably hard to deliver in the NFL. The 9ers have had a tough year this year due to a staggering number of injuries, but Purdy has proven he belongs. Crazy to me there are numerous college players making more money than a legit starting QB in the NFL.
