@nmerritt11, I know you watched a bunch of Garrett Riley coaching film prior to last season. I remembered a consistent theme for each play call identifying specific points to attack. I think it was based on a pre-read of the formation and then choosing the correct option once the play starts. Focusing on a “dude” or something like that. The QB would make this decision as the play unfolds. Sounded and looked fairly simple on the plays I watched, but I’m sure it’s way more involved. In your opinion, is Riley running this offense? If so, is Cade not making the correct read? Are the other offensive players not executing? QB running was a key component wasn’t it? What’s missing with our offense? Was it really Sonny Dykes’ offense? 14 games in his OC tenure and I’m not seeing what we thought it would be. Sorry for all the questions, but I hope a few other folks help with the answers. Thanks.
