Does anyone find it odd that the ABC moderators asked several questions about January 6th and things negative to Trump, but they didn't one time mention the assassination attempt against Trump?

Nothing about the Democratic rhetoric in this country causing violence against Trump and political assassination attempts? Nothing about his leadership in the moments after?

Has there been any official investigation released? Was Iran involved? Who else was involved? Who was the shooter speaking to on the phone / communicating with at the rally?

The reality is that it's not a very fair question to ask given the giant elephant of a global shutdown that Trump owes equally with Biden.

For the record, most people do not think the Fed has done a masterful job. Most traders i know think they have been too reactionary and not proactive enough.

They waited too long to raise rates, thinking that inflation was transitory. They were dead wrong. Inflation crept up to 9% the highest levels in 50 years.

Now most people think they are waiting too long to cut rates. See the stock market sell off today. The odds of a .50 point rate cut dropped from about 60% a week or two ago to about 10% now.

Powell is doing an OK job playing the hand he is dealt, but is FAR from masterful.

No matter who wins, the country is in trouble economically. If that is your main concern, you want someone like Trump in office who has experience. Kamala is dumb as a brick and couldn't trade her way out of a wet paper bag.

I may not be fully up to speed on this but reporting has strongly suggested the shooter was researching killing both Biden and Trump. It doesn't seem "political" in any traditional sense of the word but more of the "I'm going to make a name for myself as I die" assassination attempt.

Yes. And they have stated that the shooter was investigating multiple targets from both parties. He zeroed in on Trump due to proximity of the rally.

This is true. I was talking to my wife about that. It was the 1st question they asked Harris and she totally dodged it.

Literally no point in watching anymore as the tone was already set from the beginning.

The American public deserves much better than what we are getting, all the way around. I'm talking BOTH candidates and the media alike. Just put the best candidates forward (neither are) and then have an unbiased crew moderating the event. The media's job is:
- To simply report the news, not opinion pieces or "leading" pieces
- Hold/keep the government accountable for their actions.......B-O-T-H sides.

As to your statement that he did not answer any direct questions about his policies, he was our president for 4 years and that should be enough evidence of what his policies are and will be. You know, just like Kamala's actions over the past 3 1/2 years should be enough to determine what her policies will be should she become president. Kamala keeps saying that her "values" have not changed since all of her flip flopping on issues. She is correct in my view and will go back to the original positions she had if she becomes president. Bernie Sanders is correct when he said she is doing what she needs to do to win the election. The question that is relevant here is, were you better off then versus now? In my case I was definitely better off back then as were most Americans.
The moderators during this "debate" were really bad, in my view. I give more kudos to the folks at CNN who did a much better job of moderating the previous debate with Biden.

Yes, it was one of the first questions asked by the "moderators". She struggled a little at first and then went into her "I was raised in a middle class family" story. My wife and I looked at each other with that "what does her answer have to do with the question" look.

Yoshi, let's look at the situation a little further down the road and then judge the job done by the Fed. Initially it does look favorable but all the effects are not yet recorded and won't be for another 6 months or so.
