NSIAP: Nike Online Sales +31% Since the Kap Campaign was Unveiled

How is this not racist? You think all black people have the same political philosophy?

Ummmmmm....what? My point was that all they did was run a commercial. That's what thousands of companies do every day but somehow she says it's "Stuffing it down her throat." I'm just asking if every commercial run by every company is "stuffing things down her throat" or if it's something about the subject of that commercial in particular that she objects to.

Has people realized yet that detroying Nike clothes you already purchased doesn’t hurt a company’s financials bc they already have your money?

And didn’t NFL revenue go up by a billion dollars last year? I also believe the “failing” new york times grew revenue. It seems Trump and his minions don’t quite have the financial power they think they do.

You mean burning my already purchased bottom shelf Nikes didn't hurt them??!!

$40 Rack Room Nikes that you were using for Yoga class

Are the sweatshops in Asia, where the Nike products made, not racist?

I guess Nike, and any other cool social agenda company, won't sacrifice their bottom line, to increase their employees standard of living. But hey, that's not what we are taking about here is it.

Or are we (you all, really) just concerned with Nike and American racism?

Asking for a friend …

These things seem to work in reverse of their intended consequence. Nike, Hobby Lobby, Chick Fil A...all seemed to do just fine, if not better.

I understand that economic boycotts can be effective, but quite often, the supporters of the targeted business will rally.

Lol. Great point. All of the opression in this country doesnt hold a candle to the 3rd world countries their products are made in for nickels and sold for hundreds. But hey, it’s not happening here so doesnt matter.

I just read an article the other day that said that retail boycotts are completely ineffective.

Yep, just what I thought… it's only American racism that has people's panties in a twist …

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ersquarterback Colin Kaepernick has willingly immersed himself into controversy by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem in protest of what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States.

His latest refusal to stand for the anthem -- he has done this in at least one other preseason game -- came before the 49ers' preseason loss to Green Bay at Levi's Stadium on Friday night.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

So Nike is still for social justice in America, where it counts

True but it’s a statement you don’t support what they are stuffing down your throat.

I’m asking this multi-part question honestly, with real curiosity...what about CK’s kneeling protest makes you so angry? How do you feel he should protest? What message do you feel is being shoved down the throats of people around the world by Nike?

In the last 3 minutes I've seen commercials for-

AT&T
KFC
Gillette
Hotwire.com
Audi

With the obvious exception of KFC who is, quite literally, trying to shove fried chicken down our throats, which of these commercials is "shoving down our throats?"
