Alright fellas. There's a small group focused on the ban bet, but we're going to do something a little more accessible that also helps Clemson athletics.

Post here if you are in for the bet. Terms:

  • If your candidate loses and the winning candidate gets <300 EC votes, you donate $110 to the 110 Society
  • If your candidate loses and the winning candidate gets >=300 EC votes, you donate $225 to the 110 Society

I'd like to be able to trust everyone here, but we will work on a verification method. Perhaps screenshots to my DM or an impartial party or something.

If we find out that you renege on the bet, you will forever wear a scarlet letter on TI. And shame will come to your family.

I imagine $225 is a big ask for a few of this board’s regular posters.

I’m in though.
I was trying to remember if the majority of poors voted Kamala or Trump. Always thought democrat, but someone on this board said more poors are republicans now.

Trump's biggest voting bloc has always been uneducated white males fwiw
How does that compare to pre Trump republicans? For example, Did uneducated white males typically vote Obama or McCain?

What about uneducated people of all genders and color? Are they Trump or Kamala?

Lastly, how do rich, white males vote? Asking for a friend.

Posted the stat the other day. This is from 2024. Poors vote heavy dem.

  • About six-in-ten voters with lower family incomes (58%) associate with the Democratic Party, compared with 36% who affiliate with the Republican Party.

I’ve already donated to the 110 society. Can I donate mine to the FFRF or ACLU, since that’s what we’ll truly need if Trump is elected?

So there’s actually heterosexual males on this board that’s voting for Kamala? I thought they were just trolls
I just can’t square with voting for an adjudicated sexual assaulter. Also, my single issue is the economy and I’d prefer not voting for the guy who 23 Nobel laureates and over 400 economists agree will explode our national debt even further.

I’m also not trash so a vote for Trump was never an option.

We have a lot of threads for all this. You going to put your money where your mouth is or not?

I already do a monthly recurring donation to 110. I’ll donate to disaster relief orgs should Trump win

At least from 2020 data, people with lower incomes supported and voted for Biden by a large margin

Yeah it’s guys without college degrees who drive 70k ford raptors, own a boat, and have a car dealership or contracting business.
I'd say most people in the fortune 200 company i work with are republicans. Its a southern company though.

Right, I was specifically talking about his support among non-college educated white men (should have made that clearer) though frat boys are another key group of his

Most of the successful white people I know from high school are republican (although all of them think trump is terrible). These folks are from the south.

Most of the successful white people I know from college and business school are Democrats or left-leaning independents. These folks are from all over.

Yah the culture at my company is ... unique. I had a SVP take my wife and I out to dinner and we were talking about some issues, I think the topic was health care costs, her husband was going through some tough times and the costs were outrageous. She said we definitely need to fix these things, but im not a liberal or anything. They said it like a dirty word. Which hey ok, i'm a white southern male, I guess they were just codifying.

My wife gave me the side eye at that moment. It's all good, I don't irrationally hate people for their opinions. I just definitely challenge them. So I said, well yah, it would definitely be cheaper for everyone if we had a single payer system or medicare for all, and left it at that.
