A few nuggets on Clemson tight end recruiting ...

As you might have seen, four-star Nate Roberts has announced plans to make a commitment Saturday afternoon.

Roberts, of course, had been Clemson's long tight end offer to date after camping the opening day.

You'll also recall we expressed opinion that Mitchell Pritchett had outperformed Roberts during our observation window.

We are now predicting, if not projecting, Roberts to commit to Notre Dame.

Simultaneously, Clemson has extended an offer to Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep's Logan Brooking.

We can tell you Brooking (6-4, 215) competed Saturday at the Swinney Camp and seriously impressed the coaching staff.

He is the son of former NFL linebacker Keith Brooking.

LSU, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Miami and Michigan are among his offers.

Clemson feels his profile will only escalate as he gains further exposure.
