Or was it a waste of time.

Radiofrequency turbinate reduction (RTR) is a procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to reduce the size of the turbinates, which are structures in the nose that can become enlarged and cause breathing difficulties. It is a relatively quick, minimally invasive procedure performed in the doctor's office under local anesthesia.
