Since I’m sure this will devolve into politics and hellscape, I’ll start here.

Where do you guys buy ammo for your shooting needs? Been trying to improve my accuracy with a 9mm and have gotten to use enough rounds that it makes sense to start looking at bulk.

Thanks in advance!

AmmoSeek is a good aggregator of ammo price info. Ammunition Depot. Ammo.com, luckygunner, Sportsmans guide, Midway. Bass Pro sometimes has good prices.

Be aware and ensure that you compare apples to apples when shopping. Ammo is heavy... so some places look cheap but then rape you on shipping. Others look expensive but have shipping baked in.

You gotta shop. If you're not a hardcore gun guy who enjoys checking out ammo prices on the regular, my advice would be to log your purchases. Calibre, where you bought, how much, cost / rd. , shipping cost, Total all-in cost per round. Prices fluctuate and then there are sales AND you get different prices depending on how much you buy at one time. (50rd box vs a case for example). That's what i do because im not out there shooting and buying ever other week. When i'm in the market at least i have some sort of baseline to go off of so i'm not starting my easter egg hunt / price comparison from scratch every time.

If there’s a range near you, go there and tell them you’re looking for practice rounds. Know what caliber and grain you want, I’ve had luck doing that for practice/target rounds. Got 1000 5.56 rounds from a guy outside of Jacksonville NC a couple years ago that way when you couldn’t find 5.56 ammo anywhere.

My son and I have been going a lot to the range. I’ll ask them tomorrow. I think it was $299 for 1000 9 mm rounds last time I looked there, so not great… but after shipping maybe that’s what it would be online.
