Agreed ... however .... whenever I see Boston Dynamics videos I always ask “ Have these F’rs never seen The Terminator??”
Those whirring motors and stomping feet are going to be the last sound lots of people hear someday... gracious.
I know its not cool on here to talk about regulations, but I truly believe our government needs a group of experts to regulate AI. Unfortunately our current president can barely use email and refers to technology as "the cyber", while referencing his 13yo son for commentary on innovation in the US.
The problem is China is full-steam ahead on AI and has zero regard for human life. This will be one of the great challenges of our lifetime and unfortunately we have elected an administration that doesn't believe in science.

Im no Trump fan ..... but ..... I see what youre saying in regards to regulation, but frankly .... I dont want Government(either party) anywhere near AI.
Government regulation is why Kinder Surprise Eggs are illegal YET you can buy a shotgun at Walmart.
Either way we are F'd .... but it will be cool to have robots do stuff for me .... until they become self aware.

There are 100s of movies and thousands of books on sentient robots and AI destroying humanity … yet … here we are … flippin dumbasses hop skipping and jumping to our own demise.
But on a lighter yet still terrifying note … this was 7 years of innovation, development, and enhancement … what does the next 7 years look like? I’m looking at this thing … won’t be long till the tech and detail is there for AI/Robots to do trade jobs.
In the 2016 election cycle Andrew Yang was the only one talking about Universal Income due to AI/robots taking all the jobs (FYI, this exact topic/scenario is the origin story of the AI revolution in the Matrix (Animatrix))
