OT, but I have to know! Any Hillary Rodham Clinton supporters on the

I'll vote for her but take no joy in her victory. Anyone capable of surviving the GOP primary clown show and debate system will by definition believe some very stupid and dangerous things. Our government, economy and the world in general are all nuanced to the point a president must be able to see beyond the intellectually flat-lined dogma the far right professes.

Umm wow... To vote for her, knowing her past record is more of a crime than not voting at all. Voting to tote the party affiliation is what is wrong with this country in first place. You are doing exactly what the right GOP clown show supporters do, toting the company line.

Don't like her as a candidate. I've rarely voted Republican in my life, but if they present someone decent this year, I just may do it. Otherwise I may just sit this one out. Hilary is abrasive and shady, and I wonder about her ethics.

Read a book written by a Secret Service guy about different presidents he served under. They all liked Bubba as he would sit down and play cards with them and showed them respect. But Hilary was so condescending toward them it was sickening. Acted as if she was better than them, would walk right past them without even speaking, etc. I personally can't stand that type of person. Besides her attitude toward "the little guys", I just don't think she would be a good president.

By the way, the president that was most liked by the Secret Service guys was Bush '41. He and Barbara always showed respect toward those guys, asked about their families, would give them birthday gifts, etc. The one they liked least was Jimmy Carter. Treated them a lot like Hilary did.

I agree with most of what you are saying and this is problematic for her. However, the policies she represents/supports are more in line with what I desire so I will hold my nose and vote for her. I think that will be the case with many people.

I am just curious how so many people have such a strong opinion on her and the Republican candidates so far. Has everyone been in Iowa and NH listening to them campaign? We haven't even had the first debate yet.

You can say that I know all I need to know about so and so, but this is politics, everybody puts on a different face according to their current office and tries to get to the next office with their actions. I want to wait and hear some of the candidate's ideas prior to making judgement on how they will handle the biggest office in the land. Then I am going to vote in my individual best interest. I don't have to make a decision for over a year. I am going to use that year to gather all of the information out there - what is the point in rushing to make a decision?
pretty stupid post. Hillary Clinton has been a public figure for about 25 years, she's run for President before, etc. My strong opinions on the republican's are formed the same way i evaluate anyone i meet... usually in about 30 seconds i've decided if they are an idiot or someone worthwhile. I like Kasich, Biden, Christie, Paul, don't like Bush but would vote for him. Dislike Rubio, Walker, Cruz, Perry, & Trump.

So, you didn't fully read the post or maybe I didn't explain well enough. If you are not changing your perception of yourself according to you roles and responsibilities, then you didn't get far enough to matter in politics/business/etc. She is running for president in 2016, her past experience is just experience - you still have to hold an interview. I have interviewed people that have applied for the same job 2 and 3 times and I hired a couple because on the second or third time they were finally ready and through different messaging (than their previous interviews) they illustrated they were ready. I also have interviewed people that I know will never be ready and I will never promote. The point is that you have to do your due diligence every time.

How many interviews have you been apart of that lasted 30 seconds? I understand this is hyperbole, but at the same time there is a real truth there. People vote for who they like/trust based on instinct. The problem is, what if their messaging and actions don't align with that feeling or go against your self-interest?

To this point nobody has been able to do their due diligence because the process hasn't played out enough yet. I may vote for somebody next year that I think is a waste of podium space this year....even Trump will get his interview.

i was out of line and over aggressive with my post, but when you are running for president your past 20 years is all 100% applicable to your current pitch. there is no amount of development or improvement that happens between the time someone is 52 and 72 that is going to prepare them.

you can get a lot more than an instinct for someone in 30 seconds. you ask one hard question and you can know a lot about a person. do the answer it, head on, from the heart, do they answer another question or deflect, pandering to a sympathy instead of answering the actual question (Cruz)... do they just ignore the question and try to change the topic (Rubio)... If they answer the question does their answer contain factual or emotional leanings, is it a position that serves or hurts their position, and how eager are they to tackle the question because of that.

My liking of Joe Biden and John Kasich both came from questions about their personal feelings on the death penalty and their role in enforcing it as a governor and prospective President. Both showed an understanding of the complexity of the issue, that it was an issue that gave them trepidation, and that the state has certain responsibilities to victims. I don't see Hillary Clinton out in front of a camera answering tough complex dividing questions. She's nodding her head in every Starbucks in a swing state.

ps... i've been in many interviews where i decided i didn't want someone inside of 30 seconds. admittedly it takes longer to figure out if i want somebody... but if it is a no... I'd say 50% of the time or more it's a no inside of 30 seconds.
