Clemson, like most institutions of higher learning, has a good amount of liberal students and PhD educated professors. But you are sorely mistaken if you think the campus is liberal as a whole. There are some country bumpkins enrolled in classes and in fraternities at Clemson. It’s still in the upstate of SC.
You can thank the Chief Diversity Officer and the progressive administrative mindset for this. The students themselves and the actual administrators probably aren't particularly liberal, but this is just the water they swim in. In order to not be "controversial," they have to be progressive. I'd be curious to know who invited this person to do the event, but it's of a piece with stuff Clemson has officially sponsored.

Honestly, I'd imagine if you're in charge of saying yes or no to these requests, it's probably much, much easier to deal with the fall out of allowing this guest than to deal with the fall out of saying no to them.

I wish people would realize we do not create anything, we recreate in own sinful or righteous minds, and that depends on who controls your mind. There is nothing new that hasn't been known. People just make it worse or better, depending on their knowledge of evil and good.

Who cares as long as it doesnt impact your day to day life?
For one they are not altering what God made them male or female. They are sinners which is a natural birth state and repercussions of Adam. He made them male and female and you can't truly become the opposite if you're the other. A non drinker can become an alcoholic, a non smoker can start smoking and so on. But a man can't become a woman and a woman can't become a man. There is no such thing even if society wants to except it. They are sinners in need of the same help as the rest of us.
