Many of you sent thoughts and prayers last month when I posted about my uncle who was on life support after a terrible heart attack. Eventually, he did pass and I have a mountain of things to deal with in his death.

One item I could use some guidance on. He retired from the Army after 22 years as a Major. He never took a dime of his pension because the feds had him as a Seargent in their records. They owe him decades of back pay, and I don’t have the first clue where to go.

Is that Veterans Affairs? I don’t even know where to start and don’t even know what to Google at this point. I have a copy of his military records and death certs, etc. Anyone familiar at all with this process?

sincerest thanks.
