I will start by admitting that I am not an engineer. I'm in the medical field and my only knowledge of engineering schools comes from the fact that 4-6 years ago my daughter was doing researching for her own college choice. She ultimately ended up at GaT. While I always realized that CU was not at that level, I was sort of shocked at the rankings that were posted in the recruiting thread about Tre Lamar. With all of the focus on making CU a top 20 public university, I always assumed that the engineering dept would be a big part of that. I felt like CU would be in the ballpark with VaT and NCS in terms of engineering. I was quite surprised to find us in a totally different league than VaT and NCS and instead residing with the likes of Auburn. I know these rankings are not the end all, and I'm sure CU produces excellent engineering grads. I'm just shocked that with our focus on rankings, our engineering rankings are so low.
