I desperately want a detached garage to support my car habit. I have about 1.1 acres and plenty of room to put one in, but I do have an HOA, so I have to make it look like the house (ie all brick, windows, can't look like a business, etc). If I wanted to build a 2.5 car garage with height for a lift (or two), what kind of money does that realistically cost? $50k? $100k?
