OT, honest question though

I'm sure there's absolutely no corruption transpiring through hundreds of millions dollar donations or "campaigns".

Im just a guy doing his best to just be a good person and it's just my opinion, that nobody should get more than $10 million to run for president. Total, period. No Presidential candidate should receive more than $10 million in donations. Win the election on your personality, likeability, thoughts, actions instead of "who gave you money".

Why do you need more than $10 million dollars to run for president? If all you can receive/spend is $10 million, that's about as even of a playing field as I could imagine.

Again, just a low man on the totem pole's opinion. It would obviously never happen because, we're too far gone. Elections are bought these days. The slippery slope is the people buying them. Hope they're on team America! That's all I care about.

I don't disagree with the idea. But 10 million is a drop in the bucket for what it costs to run an election. That wouldn't cover travel.

It's impossible to do, no doubt. It's the idea and a number for reference.

Wish it were possible, honestly.

I wonder if anyone has ever done research on the economic impact of election spending?
Im sure it's like anything, it depends on who's funding the study, haha. I wish that weren't such the case with everything these days.

It's a pipe dream, but I just long for the day where we get a leader who refuses to allow corruption around him/her and calls it out every time they see it. Just that person who is on a mission to do the right thing even if it's not popular or even if it cost their buddies millions. Someone who refuses to do the American Taxpayer wrong.

We need more good people in this world, my friend.

That was pretty much Bernie Sanders’ campaign message. Not saying I would’ve voted for him, but I didn’t appreciate that he was trying to restore some trust in our electoral process.

I agree with your last paragraph. I said it in another thread, the first party to move toward center without an idiot or lunatic at the lead would possibly hold power for a while. Most of Americans aren’t extreme but they vote against their better reasoning because anybody is better than the other guy.

As much as I dislike the man Trump did his best sales pitch ever when he became the voice of the “poorer/unheard average Joe” side of the Republican Party, that’s where a majority of his diehard base resides. A good bit of the rest really just vote for him because it’s their “better” option, in their opinion.
We had a guy really close to center in George W.
Most people neglected it because he said he talked to God. Then we elected a flaming lib because we thought he was a moderate.

Why is the media so against conservative republicans? There's one station that is way too biased in favor with the republican party, but overall the media, celebs, athletes etc voice their opinion against the right side.

Not trying to start a train wreck thread, but just curious why that is the case?

Mods please move to the politic forum if this is over the top.
The answer is in your question. The media is against truth. It’s not a physical battle but a spiritual one. Knowing and walking in the truth will set you free.

Another reason why the media seems to be against conservative Republicans is they try to interfere too much with other people's choices. When will they learn?
