It's gotten to be a big topic again down here, and the heat makes it worse. There are lots of carriages operating down here along with lots of cars. The rules put forth by the city are archaic, and include the following:
- Horses can operate seven days a week
- No one regularly checks the horses or regulates the industry
- Horses can operate up to 98 degrees, and
- the thermometer is actually located four stories above the road, while the horses operate on asphalt
Anyway, I will be attending something next week where this is the main topic so I just want to see what you think, and if anyone cares about the well-being of the horses. Thanks.
