Well, I'm a silver lining kind of guy. So look at it this way. Before this whole thing blew up, a few people hated this guy because he was black and gay. Now, EVERYONE hates him because he's a huge asshole. So in a sense we are judging him based on his character and actions and not the color of his skin and sexual orientation. That my friends, is EXACTLY the way things should be...

Donald Trump has never been a hero of any kind. We certainly throw that word around a lot. Being a hero usually involves some sort of self sacrafice. Making himself uncomfortable in any way is not on Trump's list of things he does. He's spent his entire life looking after number 1. If he stood up for civil rights, there was an angle that he thought he could cash in on or use to promote himself. And where are there breathing babies being killed?

If you hate Trump, Obama, Clinton, Cortez, Graham - fine. They ran for office and got elected, so they signed up for it. Hate/gripe/insult/bitch away. Trump at least also doesn't really give a shit but that's neither here nor there.
But dragging innocent bystanders into it - especially high school kids - crosses the line. I'm hoping that the one kid's lawsuit cleans out several celebrity bank accounts.
We should be willing to admit this runs both ways, like calling high school kids "Crisis Actors". Both sides have a willingness to jump the gun before all the facts are known.
Yeah - that was some bullshit too. The one that REALLY set me off is the abuse that the families of the Sandy Hook kids have taken. Someone needs to die for that. I think that's what finally got Alex Jones tossed off of Twitter - as it should have.
Fortunately that stuff usually comes from the fringes. The Covington lawsuit might help settle this if it gets anywhere. I believe in free speech, but I believe when a has-been comedian tries to drag a high school kid's name through the mud when he didn't do anything wrong, she should be held accountable.
