OT: Just fired one of my secretaries for not getting her son a flu shot...

Blatant insubordination.

I specifically ordered all employees and their families to get a flu shot. No exceptions. This morning, I overheard her telling another of my subordinates that her son had the flu. I immediately ordered her and our HR administrator into my office and told her to pack her things. Fridays are usually the best days to fire people, but she didn't want to go easy. She tried to give me some BS about an egg allergy and "developmental delays" blah blah blah, but I wasn't really listening. We are at an EPIDEMIC now because of morons like her and others who refuse to get this life-saving vaccine.

I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I fire mine yesterday too!

From what I understand it is meant to prevent a certain strain of the flu and as I'm sure you know there are multiple strains out there. The flu shot may help in some cases but in many others it doesn't. That's all I was saying.

Oh also all my immediate co-workers who got the flu shot this year (7/10) got the flu (100%) smh. I have never gotten a flu shot. I have had the flu twice in my life, last time being like 2002 or something. I digress, I want in on that lawsuit!
