I'm finally taking this to TI. Just looking for any advice on if I have a legal foot to stand on as far as help to pay some doctor bills that are about to start cluttering my mailbox.
Long story shortened. My son was playing tag football at school/recess and a kid decided to pick him up and slam him to the ground when he had the ball. Broke his arm when he broke his fall. The teachers have been made aware of this kids aggressive behavior in the past and either did one of three things, told him to stop, told the other kids they would be ok, or punished them all and would not allow them to play football for some time because of the one kid.
I got a list of names from my son of the other kids who were out there and witnessed it and have confirmed most of the above with them and their moms.
The day after the school nurse called to check on him and let me know that the school offers some sort of supplemental insurance that will kick in after my insurance pays. However, she mentioned several times that she is not sure how much it would pay, but it would help. While I appreciate that, I'm wondering if I have any other avenues to pursue or look into to help with the medical bills.
I get that boys will be boys and $h!t happens, but this seems like neglect almost and has caused time away from work and school for him, among other things.
