OT: Prices just keep rising

What I said was correct too bro. Trump produced measurably lower average gas prices in later years when it should have been higher just due to natural inflation.

Correct. He shut down the country and the economy to produce lower prices. But gas prices went UP, UP, UP during his first three years, went down after the shut down, and started going UP, UP, UP again in June 2020.

So now at least you admit that prices did rise when Trump was president, despite his policies. That is some progress I guess. Of course, you call that "natural inflation". But what is happening under Biden - even though it started 7 months before Biden became President - is 100% a result of Biden's liberal policies.

I know this has been a pointless exercise, because in a few days you will be back on here making the same incorrect statements. But hey, maybe someone else will read this and walk away a little more educated than they were before.

fat chance

This is more of a rant than anything. My wife and I got married in April of 2019. We had done about a year of trial and error and research and found for us, in the area that we live, that making 1 shopping trip a week to Wal-Mart was our most financially smart option. (I know, judge about Wal-mart but in our location almost every item is cheaper there than other stores plus for us shopping at 1 spot vs. 5 saved us a lot of money). Our goal was to get 99% of our needs (food, household items, etc.) and stay under $200 each time. We were killing it, probably averaging about $175 a trip...... Fast forward to now and I don't think we have gotten out of there for under $225 in the past year. I was comparing prices on items yesterday to what they used to be just 2 years ago and it is nothing to see 20% or more increases on single items. So frustrating....... not even talking about gas prices either.
Don't worry. It's just "transitory."

There are shortages of material and labor. Firms are paying workers more and because we have a healthy economy, demand for products and services is high. That leads to higher costs. Unemployment is low.

When more people return to work and the supply crunch ends, prices will even out as will inflation.
LOL! Where are these workers making more?

If unemployment is so low, how can people "return" to the work force?

He shut down the country and the economy to produce lower prices.
Same old misinformed NY Tiger. "Trump shut down the economy." No...democratic governors shut down their states at the bequest of Nancy and Chuck. They had to slow the Trump economy in order to get sleepy Joe elected.

Sorry to spoil your tired narrative with facts, but red states were the last to shut down.

The 7 states that didn't issue a stay at home order....all Red.

You calling someone else misinformed is pure comedy.

Shortly after Nancy and Chucks first stimulus check right?

Unsatisfied with the $900 billion stimulus deal that Congress passed on Monday, Trump urged lawmakers to amend the legislation, and threatened to oppose it otherwise. “I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000 ... and to send me a suitable bill or else the next administration will have to deliver a Covid relief package,” he said in a speech posted to Twitter Tuesday evening. Trump’s chief demands included cutting what he described as extraneous spending and increasing the amount of stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000.

Incorrect. He already had very low gas prices throughout his term before the country was shutdown for 3 weeks, so the shutdown time was a blip. Now I will concede that at a few points the avg price of gas under him was higher than it was under Barry at times. I never said a potus was 100% responsible for every gas price fluctuation, but trends develop and the fact is that gas was cheaper under Trump than it was under Barry or China Joe. Facts matter and Trump gets credit for that. Trump in fact during the 2020 campaign directly said if you put Joe in office then your gas bill will go way up and he was right.

Yup....but he didn't get $2000 did he.

Yup....but he didn't get $2000 did he.

and there it is... moving the goal post. Your argument here is slightly less feeble than last week when you blamed your higher taxes this year on Pelosi and Schumer, when in fact the dems have not passed any tax changes. If you are paying higher federal taxes this year, you can thank "the greatest tax cut in history" done by Trump and the republicans.

Honestly when you post these days I think "he has to be a troll, nobody can be this ignorant." I cant waste any more time with you.
