A well question for those in the know.
Purchased our house (built in 76, I think) in '97, it had a pipe for a well pump, but no pump. We've never added one but have been considering it lately for irrigation. Live in Mt. Pleasant, about 1000 ft. from the marsh. Well is about 13 feet deep, determined after jetting it out. Relatively clean, very little debris came out when jetting. Water depth was 5-6 feet, IIRC. For comparison, our neighbor's well is also 13 feet. He checked while replacing his pump.
Could I simply buy a pump and tie in? Thoughts and recommendations?
