I have always assumed that DBs should turn around and locate the ball, on deep throws, in order to have a better chance to break up the pass.
Is this not how they they should be coached?
Our guys seem to stay fixated on running with the receiver and watching him. Both Terrell and Hampton did this on Saturday, as well as previous games. Hampton looked like he had his grill in the receiver's armpit the entire time the ball was in the air, on one such attempt.
Very frustrating for me to watch... unless this is proper technique from Reed?
