Stuxnet is my favorite hacking story every. The Israelies have been doing genius computer espionage for decades.

I thought that was the US? Though whichever one of us did it, the other probably helped.

I mean, they literally targeted people using a wearable, personal device. It didn’t even kill everyone that was wearing it. It disabled thousands of enemy fighters with very minimal collateral damage. Hard to be more targeted while destroying less. Precision air strikes can’t come close to the level of precision of yesterday’s attack. To achieve the success of yesterday’s attack using air strikes or other means would entail significantly more collateral damage and destruction. Not sure what else they’re supposed to do….

What else this has done is denied Hezzbolah the use of technology. Think about it - they now know that Israel can attack them in a way they never saw coming through tech. So now they have to stop using that tech or spend resources making it more secure.

Same idea as a pass-happy offense running the ball every so often even if they suck at it.

It was a joint effort. Israeli opp but US aided/supported.

Exactly. And, Hezbollah paid them to do it, which is a nice chef’s kiss. Plus, UNSC Resolution 1701 mandates Hezbollah stay out of the area between the Blue Line and the Litani River. Hezbollah has repeatedly violated that to strike Israel along its northern border. This and the air strikes on weapons facilities have all been laying the groundwork for the coming conflict. Israel is preparing to go into Lebanon and push Hezbollah back across the Litani.

Yes, it was a partnership between US and Israel. Theres also a theory out there that the huge explosion in the russian tundra in the 80s that Russia said was a meteor, was actually another joint US israel hack that caused the pipeline they were building to explode.
