The NFL rule that a kid has to be 3 years removed from HS to be drafted, at least when it was created, was to PROTECT the young men from injury. Even a collegiate athlete isn't a match for a grown ass man whose business is hurting people legally. Their body won't hold up. Medical fact...at least when my Pop practiced medicine. Hell, common f'ing sense should tell you that.
