President Trump Speaks

This is laughable if it wasn't disturbing. His first statement about election day versus elections weeks is so blatently incorrect it's comical. Elections are never certified until weeks after the election, and the votes are never completely counted until far after election day.

I bounce back in forth between two lines of thinking.

1. Donald Trump surely isn't this stupid to believe the idiocy that he is spewing. Surely he must be saying this stuff for his fans and to solidify some sort of tv or political career in the future.

2. He is feeling insane and doesn't is a moron. He's lost it and someone needs to tell this dude the truth and get his yes men away from him.

I really don't know which is right at this point.

Is that the wind blowing or our President Speaking? ZERO credibility. ZERO. Do you have your vaccine yet OP? The army should have delivered it by now, right?

#2 is possible. He has surrounded himself with yes men and people of extremely low character who tell him every day how he is the greatest president in the history of presidents. I read that he was genuinely shocked at losing. He was told that those boat parades were an indicator of how much he would win in a landslide.

I've got another theory for you and one that I've always had. Donald Trump is all about Donald Trump. Period, end of story. That. Is. All. He's not good or evil. He doesn't love or hate America. He doesn't love or hate people. He's not a racist, really. Truth and Lies have no special meaning to him. It's all about what's good for Donald Trump right now. That's what has ALWAYS driven him his whole life and that's what drives him now. If Donald Trump's interests are aligned with US interests, we are in good shape as a country. Because he will do or say ANYTHING to further his own interests. If the interests of the US and Donald Trump diverge, well you are seeing that right now...

IMHO, it is in Trump's best interests right now to contest the election. His base is still on board mostly and the Republicans are mostly silent. There's no upside to admitting defeat (I don't think he'll ever concede) and he's sewing the seeds for what he has planned AFTER he is out of office. Not to mention, he is RAKING in money for his election defense fund (which by rule he can mostly spend however he sees fit). Why would he stop that before he HAS to? Once the election is certified nationally , that will change somewhat. Republicans will start breaking with him and even some of his base (not everyone, but some) will start saying it's time to hang it up. At some point between then and January 20th Trump will start making noises for the transfer of power. How far he goes down that track will be determined by what he feels is good for him going forward, NOT the good of the country.

I actually agree with this. I think Donald Trump is completely amoral. If you do any study into his background and that if his father's, you will see a belief in the philosophy of Norman Vincent Peale who basically believed that you can self hypnotize yourself into success. If you state someone and believe it enough,it will come true. Sound like anyone else we know?

Yep in a character study this makes sense. I wouldn't say he's amoral though, everyone has prejudices and Trump definitely has his.

I'm going to disagree here. Amoral is THE key. There's people that agree with him and The Enemy. That's his world view. Nothing else really matters. Now he's not going out of his way to kick puppies and push little old ladies into the street, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying what he CARES about... really CARES about is... Trump.

I used the term amoral because I truly don't believe he has any real emotion or empathy. He truly seems to be Narcissistic at a minimum and Sociopathic at worst.

I know his fans will think I'm being crazy, or orange man bad, or whatever, but he has never shown any real moral compass. He sways whichever way it favors him most.

Then we are in agreement... my bad.
