Priebus out, Kelly in as Chief of Staff

He signed it tonight which is a good thing but why release that positive info on late Friday night when bad news is typically let out?

I guess that's what happens when you hire a Wall Street guy to run communications.

Because he hopes it slips through the cracks so the pee tape doesn't drop.

Oh judging someone after a few months...I am sure you are still a big fan of ACA and it's been amazing for you. People who expect him to get shot done overnight crack me up when Obama was a nightmare for 8 years but no one cares
Then Trump himself must crack you up! And I'm sure you gave Obama a few months before judging him .... SMFH give me a break.

Folks who think Trump is so bright are only fooling themselves. Chess not checkers?

He has lost his first national security advisor, his first press Secy, his first communications director and his first chief of staff. And his No. 2s for some of those are pretty questionable: Scarmucci? Huckabee Sanders? Dreadful choices.

His son was shown to have eagerly wanted information from the Russians about his opponent.

His "this will be so easy" repeal of Obamacare could not make it through the GOP controlled Congress.

There is no formal tax reform proposal. No infrastructure proposal.

His proposed budget was DOA when sent to Congress.

This is sophisticated? Strategic?

This is the gang that can't shoot straight.

How many of you Trump supporters would like to work for a boss like Scaramucci? I absolutely would refuse.

This administration, so far, has been the worst in our history. He has about 9 months to turn it around or he won't have a GOP Congress anymore to work with.

Truly though this is why I voted for the guy. The republicans hated him and the democrats hated him. The media hates him. Everyone will join forces to stop anything he tries to do. So at worst we are where we were at the end of obamas terms when trump is done.

Had Hillary won things would be much worse already and only get worse.

Now hopefully we have actual good candidates run in a couple of years and we can get better as a country.
Trump is in the process of blowing up what we know as the GOP and GNC...

The administration got better this week

The administration got better this week Great new chief of staff. Disaster?

Well, let's see... The "deal maker in chief" can't even get his healthcare plan through congress when he has a majority in both houses.

He spent the week blasting one of his staunchest allies in Sessions...

He spent the week allowing his new communications director to trash on of his strongest allies in Priebus.

Then he rearranges the chain of command so that the communications director doesn't even report to the WH Chief of Staff. Kind of like picking a new general and putting him in command (Oh, except for the artillary... I'm gonna keep that).

Joint Chiefs of Staff say that they are ignoring his tweets about the trans folks until they get some guidance.

Hired a communications director that goes off on a f-bomb dialogue, trashing the whole white house staff and demanding a reporter give him a source. When the reporter refused, he then said he was going to fire everyone whether they were leakers or not... And presumably replace them with new people who now know that he'll simply fire everyone if he gets pissed... sounds like a recipe for a win to me...

Look man, the President has the hardest job in the world. He can BARELY do a good job if his WH team is all on one page. Allowing your team to compete against each other may work in the private sector, but you can't function like that and run the country...

imagine being this delusional
Only no one who loves Trump can say what they are getting done.

Because it is absolutely nothing.

Muslin ban. Courts said, "nope."
Obamacare repeal. Congress and the American public said, "nope."
Iran agreement overturned. Diplomats and generals said, "nope."
Declare China a market manipulator. Treasury secretary said, "nope."
Achieve a peace in the Middle East. Not yet.
Pass a tax reform bill. Pass one? We haven't even seen one.
Pass a infrastructure spending bill? Not yet.
Protect the rights of gays as promised during convention address. Ha. Just the opposite.

Oh, he did get his choice for the Supreme Court nominated but only after the Senate used the nuclear option to end debate. Of course, Trump wants to prohibit future use of the filibuster for every piece of legislation.

What a train wreck.

It's funny how everyone expects results in less than a year after 8 years of a true train wreck.

Probably not too much to ask with a GOP White House, GOP House and GOP Senate.

Trump made no effort to reach out to Democrats. He insulted moderate Republicans. He threatened the senior Senator from Alaska. He said the senior Senator from Arizona was no hero because he was a POW. He is threatening to find someone to run against the junior Senator from Arizona who is also a Republican.

Are you already too tired of winning to recognize how bad it is?

So true. Amazing what Trump has accomplished in 6 months. Unbelievable in fact.

- Stock market up 20% since election
- Travel ban in place
- Illegal immigration has been reduced in miraculous fashion
- Gorsuch. This is a Yuge one. Should get another one soon.
- Just the beginning, folks!

You are probably so proud of Obamacare...and think the previous 8 years was a success.

I have a 30-yr old son with epilepsy. He would not be able to get health insurance without Obamacare. This is a personal issue with me so, yes, I AM thankful for it.

The GOP had 7 years to design an alternative. The president has no interest in the details of the policy. He just wants a bill to sign. There is no way on God's green earth he could sit down and talk health care policy. Remember how he said that no one had any idea how complicated it could be?

You show me an alternative plan where my son can continue to be covered for roughly $500 a month with a preexisting condition and I might support it.

How many TI posters are enjoying the benefits of their parents' health care policy? That is due to Obamacare too.

I am all for pre-existing conditions being covered. However I don't think it should be spread evenly across the board. I don't think I should be penalized for my income and health history to cover people who's health requires more medical cost. I don't think my insurance premiums should have more than doubled when I haven't utilized them outside of well visits to help those who make less money and/or had pre-existing conditions. Oh...and the fact that my grandfathered plan will no longer be good after this year and I am being forced to find another plan that will be probably 4-500 more a month. Also, I have a co-play plan for doctor visits but if admitted to hospital or have any procedures it's $5k deductible. The one time I needed my insurance was when my wife had a thyroid issue...every single place we went did an EKG even though they were within same system, results were in the system and we had hard copies of results. I had to pay for each one out of pocket, pay for the surgery, and my insurance didn't benefit me one bit.

I would have been better off to pay the penalty but then you put your family at risk if a catastrophe. Obamacare is a joke...which is why so many insurance companies have pulled out. I am glad your son is covered and it works for you but there are many more situations where people have been priced out.

Also, companies are hiring people and giving them under 30 hours so they don't have to provide benefits because they cannot sustain the rate increases and stay profitable. Companies are working with skeleton staffs because they cannot afford them. Smaller healthcare systems are going out of business or being forced to sell because of Obamacare. All it has done is make the larger healthcare companies prosper yet democrats think their leadership care about the little guy.

I get my insurance on the private market and not through out company currently because it's ridiculous how much it cost. We have people working for us that strictly work for the insurance benefits.

I work in healthcare and I see the mess Obamacare and Conpetitive Bid has created in the healthcare segment. Not to mention an illegal cab walk into a hospital with no insurance, no penalties, and get healthcare provided to them and never pay a dime. Obamacare needs to go away in a bad bad way

Sure there are problems that need to be addressed. No reason the throw the baby out with the bathwater though.

Honestly, can you describe what the Senate Republicans were proposing before the bill was defeated? Here is the only thing I know about the bill. They begged the House not to pass their bill but to go to conference with them about it.

And the president wanted whatever that slimmed down bill was to be passed. But no one likes it.

Finally today we hear there will be bipartisan hearings soon in the Senate. Hallelujah it is about time. Let's fix what is wrong and keep what works.

I get your concern about not paying for others but you know what? just about everyone has a preexisting condition that could otherwise prevent them from getting health care. Your wife now has one thanks to a thyroid issue. 30 years ago, I had a mole removed in which there was in-situ melanoma. Hadn't spread beyond the mole but I now pay higher life insurance rates for something removed 30 years ago. Without Obamacare I might have also lost health insurance.

I do believe people who smoke, abuse drugs or alcohol, are obese (I.e. Make lifestyle choices) should pay higher rates. But my son was born with epilepsy. Should he be saddled with higher lifetime rates because someone chose the short straw for him?

"Your son's problems aren't mine!"

"God doesn't love your son as much so it's fine!"

I doubt you'll get a good pre-existing conditions shouldn't be covered argument because I've never heard one.
