Pro-Ham-ass student arrested and deported

The development comes after an executive order from President Donald Trump promoting a federal crackdown on campus antisemitism and his threats to cancel visas of pro-Palestinian international students. This has put California university activists on alert after many of the nation's largest and most contentious protests unfolded at their schools, according to Los Angeles Times.

The order called on the federal government to "prosecute, remove, or otherwise hold to account the perpetrators of unlawful antisemitic harassment and violence" on college campuses and directs the federal Education, State and Homeland Security departments in the next two months to develop "recommendations for familiarizing institutions" with how to "monitor and report activities by alien students and staff” that would potentially qualify them for visa revocation.

I wonder why she wasn't protesting about the treatment of the Uyghurs?
Very fair point, but this still seems like a pretty cut and dry 1st amendment issue.
Anybody should be able to say whatever they want provided it’s not some threat of immediate violence without the government cracking down on it. Sending terrorists money or facing employment issues in the private world are separate

That seems reasonable. Let’s deport anyone here legally who doesn’t agree with our free speech.

Constitutional win.
I wonder why Nazis that also threaten Jewish people don’t get the same scrutiny.

Anyway, the same feelings were probably held about hippies protesting the Vietnam (and Cambodia) War, and I can’t say the pot lovers were too wrong. In this case, we’re going after people that take strong issue with a foreign government? Weird. Of course Hamas is awful; they’re no more awful than the local Al-Qaeda franchise that now runs Syria who we apparently have no issue talking to.

She is/was an alien here at the pleasure of the citizens of the US. She was organizing support for a terrorist organization who would harm us citizens. She was not arrested for what she said, she just wasn't allowed to stay here any longer. That this is even news is somewhat baffling to me.

I suspect any pushback is for the feeling of hypocrisy.

Perfect deportation example

Clean America out of people who are not citizens who advocate and offer aid comfort support to people who are threats to the safety and security of USA

You wasnt pro-free speech back during covid. You are yet another one of those that really just pro YOUR free speech...Typical leftist

The alien bit is irrelevant to the whole situation. It’s protected speech or it isn’t.

The Turkistan Islamic Party is a jihadist Uyghur organization that’s been designated a terrorist group since 9/11. It has strong ties to al-Qaeda. They’d gladly kill Chinese communists or us, but the Chinese communists would come first. Would it be legal for me to drum up support for them in their specific quest to liberate Xinjiang from the CCP?

The alien part is entirely relevant. American citizens live here. And they are, with very few exceptions, allowed to be as stupid as they can be, and say or do most anything they want. Foreigners are allowed here IF we allow them, for the reason we allow them, and for as long as we allow them. We are under zero obligation to let them stay after we let them in.

If you and your wife were to invite me over to dinner and then when i got there i started making an ass out of myself, even though i have a first amendment right to talk about great your wife's tits are or aren't that doesn't mean that you can't kick my ass out of your house. You don't have an obligation to let me stay for dinner even though that's the agreement we had and the reason i drove over to your house. Edit: punctuation is nice.

I don't know your wife, or even if you have a wife. But, given that everyone here has a 34" waist, can bench 2x their bodyweight, i'm sure that if you have a wife, and she has tits, that they are nice.
