I haven't seen a thread about the email that was sent by IPTAY on Friday morning (31 Jan) - apologies if I missed it. This communication requests an additional gift to the 110 Society in conjunction with our annual IPTAY gift and seems to imply that an additional seat equity amount will also be required to stay at the current 2025 contribution level (Fike in my case). Am I misreading? I already paid my full Fike membership contribution in December and this email seems to state that an additional $4200 seat equity payment will be required to stay at Fike level in 2025. Here's the email text:

IPTAY’s mission to provide educational opportunities and a world-class student-athlete experience has not and will not change. At the same time, and as we’ve done for the past 90 years, it is important for us to recognize needs where and when they arise.

I hope you have seen our earlier communication and FAQ on the House settlement and its potential impacts on our present and future. While major change is ahead, it is incredibly important for us to continue to adapt in the time before a new paradigm takes hold - the next several months are critical, and a healthy 110 Society is a major part of that.

As a Fike-level member, you can make a significant impact. We encourage you to make a gift of at least $3,000.00 to the 110 Society. In the coming weeks, you will receive a call from our Development and Member Services Team to discuss this opportunity.

With your participation during this transitional time in college athletics, your IPTAY Priority Points and membership benefits will be adjusted accordingly. At this time, we ask that you make a minimum donation of $3,000.00 to the 110 Society and your seat equity payment of $4,200.00 to IPTAY. With this, your IPTAY 2025 level will be listed at the Fike Level. For the IPTAY 2025 year, you will receive at least 25 IPTAY Priority Points for your participation.

Make no mistake - we’re approaching this landscape competitively - but we’re doing it in a way that holds true to our core principles. We are confident that, with your support, we will continue to thrive and compete at the highest level.
