I don't understand what trans persons go through, and I don't know how difficult their lives are. However, the least we can do is treat them with a modicum of respect, even if you don't understand anything they're dealing with. For the supposed "Christian" party, I find it deeply unsettling that something as simple as paying respect to your fellow man is so disparaged.

I don't think I've EVER had someone freak out at me about pronouns, and I would argue Houston is a fairly liberal city with plenty of blue hairs running around, and I **** them up ALL the time.
Re: the school issues, I don't have any personal evidence as my wife and I don't have children, but I can understand being hesitant about wanting your children to hear about transgenderism as they may not fully understand it. However, I don't necessarily have an issue with children learning about this, as I think it will help some kids that may be going through mental struggles. Idk the answer, and i'm sure if I had children I may take a different stance, but I just think that demonizing children (teenagers are included in this) for something that we don't understand isn't really the right way to move forward.

Minors aren't given that shit without their consent, the consent of their parents, and the consent and recommendation from two separate medical professionals. If they are given them without the above sign-off then it is illegal, and those should be prosecuted.
