You are correct. But the fact is, all this has been in the works far longer than a few decades. The radical left is none other than satan, himself. And all of this that is happening was written in the Bible, and we are watching it unfold right before our eyes. In the end days what is right will become wrong and what is wrong will become right... in the eyes of mankind... and what is good will be considered evil and what is evil will be considered good.
That is literally our culture today, and it may very well not get any better. But God has given us His Word so we will know these things and recognize them. None of this catches God by surprise, and He doesn't want these things to catch us by surprise. The story has already been written. The One who holds time, The Creator, uses satan as a puppet to separate the Wheat from the tares... and even satan knows it.
There's just nothing satan, the father of all lies, can do about it. The devil knows his ending will be to burn in a lake of fire for eternity. I've said before, but I really feel like one of the big dangers of Social Media and changing Media consumption is that it makes it much harder to tell if something is real, or fictional, or even intentional misinformation. There are YouTube channels that look completely legitimate visually, with graphics and sets. If you don't understand the capabilities of editing software and cameras now,you don't understand how easy it is to make stuff like this look completely real. This is a huge issue with older folks.

I have a high school friend who's a big Trump supporter (and a really nice guy), who actually sent me a graphic of counties in the whole US with who "won" each of them and asking how anyone could think Trump DIDN'T win.
He honestly thought that was absolute proof.
To be fair when I showed him data from the census bureau that 80% of the US population lives on 3% of the land, he did back off that claim. BUT the point is that someone created that graphic and pitched it... And he bought that hook line and sinker. Unfortunately, he is not unusual.

Yep... I have a foot in both camps with my friends and family from SC and my wife and my coworkers from the University. The far right and the far left are both batshit crazy IMHO. There are some things in life that are 100% one way or the other... most things fall between. It's a sad state of affairs when moderates are the minority (or at least seem that way).
Same for me. Most of my friends are from both sides of the spectrum, but generally well traveled and more open minded. I don't love the far sides of either party, and I don't think most of America does.

Well I don’t agree with your last sentence. But I’d say I’ve let go of some partisanship I previously held for the most part. I don’t feel the need to align with a party on all of its positions. Or even most. I think the Republican Party sucks. I think the democrat party sucks more.
I’ll vote for candidates that mostly align with my brand of conservatism and have a logical approach to governance. I think Tim Scott is a good senator. I think Nancy Mace is a fairly good house rep. I’m not voting for MTG or Boebert. And I’m not voting for trump. Or Desantis for that matter.
What's sad is I think the vast majority of America would respond favorably to a popular moderate who just said, " we have to use common sense, and figure out how to compromise. We need to make some hard choices about Entitlements, but we also don't need to create culture wars.

Im a late GenX'r, born in late 70's, raised in the 80's (the last generation of feral children), entered adulthood in the 90's ... and I was raised with a healthy disdain for the Soviet Union and the Russians.
I sort of get the not wanting to send Ukraine $113+ Billion, but admiration of Putin just baffles my mind.

I’m younger than you, born in the early 80s, and still grew up with a healthy dose of anti-Russian sentiment. I think it shifted sometime after my age group.
