So much has changed over the years. Honestly think football was more fun then. Recruits signed on to play for FOUR years. Not three for football or one for basketball. Had Freshman Ball then, varsity for three years. Same applied for Basketball. Seldom did anyone ever transfer to another school. Much more stability then with both Coaches and Players. Also was exciting to see the new guys each year (Sophomores) and how they would fill in for the departed (4th year) Players. Most who read this will have no idea as what college sports used to be like. Ancient history of course but I do miss those days. No NILS, no Transfers, no Tampering/Poaching by other Teams/Coaches…..of course, no GOR lol….everything has changed. Not so sure if it really has changed for “the better.”
