Should Kavanaugh withdraw because of the sexual misconduct allegations? Curious on the overall opinion here and haven't seen it discussed.

The best part of this whole story is the one that broke yesterday about a girl named Renate who attended a nearby high school. Kavanaugh and his buddies took a picture for the yearbook calling themselves the "Renate Alumnus" implying they had all banged her. One of his buddies added a poem saying something like "if it is late and you need a date call renate." Well, this woman Renate was one of the 60 women who signed a letter in support of him, only to recant that support yesterday when a reporter showed her the yearbook caption.

The same day, Kavanaugh went on Fox and said he was a virgin during high school. So, that means in high school he was either...

A dick, who bangs a girl and then slut shames her to impress his friends.
A faggit virgin, who does not bang a girl but still tells everyone he did to impress them.

Or he is a dude that tries to rape girls, I will hold out judgement until I see further evidence.

I've never had to interview for a lifetime appointment, nor have I had to be the interviewer for one. It would seem that character issues would always be worth looking at in such circumstances. If the allegation was reputable id consider it, I don't know enought about this one to say its reputable, so ...

That said its a hornets nest issue, because when we find out about priests trying to rape little kids we freak out, but when you inject politics into it... well suddenly the waters get muddier don't they? If i could wave a magic wand and we knew for a FACT that the accusations made against him were true. Then yes I'd say he needs to withdraw.

Name one thing Bill Clinton ever did that garnered him a pat on the back from the opposition party? Same for Trump. That’s ridiculous. Politicians are all about getting and keeping power, I feel that a lot of good people are put at odds needlessly and it drags us down as a society. It also has a synergistic effect of running many to the fringes and also it sometimes compromises us all to either adopt of stay silent on stances we don’t really agree with because not doing so we fear weakens our main advocates for another issue we are passionate about. Although tempting, this is ultimately counterproductive. There has to be a better way, some type of reform to somehow right the ship.
Welfare Reform Act was under Clinton, very well received, praised by both parties and was rather effective. Could probably argue it was the last great bi-partisan compromise. Unfortunately, the Obama admin walked back some of the more stringent requirements. I give the Clinton admin tons of credit for leading the fight on reform and ultimate passage. I say that as an Independent.

I'm not a liberal but I listened to the hearing and he seems like a good candidate to me.
