Ric Flair on Joe Rogan

Finished it today and I’m surprised it wasn’t better. Flair seemed awkward at times and kinda scared to admit things from his past. Rogan was pulling teeth to get stuff outta him for a while. Anyway, still a fun listen.
I watched a few clips and I agree. Plus you can kinda see the age/hard living showing on Flair. He seemed to not be able to hold his concentration at times and a good line of questions would go sideways

Honestly, I think the only thing Flair remembers about his life is, “I was there for the women”. But interestingly, mentioned the undertaker and Harvey Grant in a story.

Regardless of his particular views on anything, he's the bro doosh of all bro dooshes. Dude's personality just blows.

To each his own, but I happen to think Rogan is fantastic. He has replaced Howard Stern in the car for me on long drives. Howard dumped everything and everyone that made him who he was so he could be accepted by the Jennifer Anistons of the world and rub shoulders with Jimmy Kimmel. Rogan interviews tons of people from all different backgrounds and from all different points of view. He lets them talk because he finds them interesting. Instead of censoring people like Alex Jones, he lets them tell their story. Then the listener can decide what they think. It's a refreshing change from everyone else telling you what they want you to believe and not allowing anyone with differing opinions to have a voice.

LoL "tell his story?" That's a very funny joke. Impressive.

If you hate Rogan, it’s because you’ve been programmed to hate him. Not because he’s actually done anything to make you hate him. Oh no, a guy who has regular conversations with interesting people, the horror

Anti-Rogan people are just weirdos

That's a ridiculous statement and I like Rogan. Alex Jones caused tremendous, additional heartache and harrassment to the families of murdered children. Rogan giving that guy a platform is plenty enough reason for someone to choose to tune him out. These kind of matter-of-fact statements is what makes social media so toxic and unbearable.

That is literally the reason I stopped listening to his podcast. Alex Jones is a monster.

Appreciate you understanding my point.

I find it really interesting that out of the 2 people in this interview, it's Rogan that's getting the most criticism.

While I think he has some really f***ing stupid opinions on some things, he seems like a genuinely good dude, and I've enjoyed a lot of the interviews he's had on his podcast.

Flair on the other hand, by any objective measure, is just an awful human being.

Giving someone a platform (right or wrong) doesn't mean he supports it. Hell most Americans have been brainwashed to think that the mainstream media is telling the truth. LMFAO at that sentiment.

Dude, I am capable of making up my mind on both of the individuals mentioned in this thread. Yes, there are certainly degrees of shitty. Yes, these 2 would fall into different categories. You don't see it the same way I do with these 2 guys, and that's fine. Neither is wrong, but my opinion is perfectly valid even if you don't agree with it.

I understand all of this, and I never said he supports it. I find giving Alex Jones a platform to be unforgivable given the circumstances, and somehow I still get horny when I see a nice pair of giant rockin tits...go figure.

Pretty interesting Flair was addicted to Xanax since 1989 and credits edible cannabis for getting him clean. He used a razor blade to cut his forehead thousands of times and at one point they tried to change his character to Spartacus! They smoked a joint during the podcast which might explain his slow response to questions but overall excellent conversation.

I blocked okclem last week but clicked the messages here because there were so many, and woof

He’s the worst poster that I can remember going back a few years

Are you okay dude?

I'm of the opinion that men who are proven liars, especially those who callously insult the memories of dead schoolchildren and sic their sycophants on the grieving parents of those dead children, probably shouldn't be given a platform. One of the problems we face in this current culture is the prevalence of platforms for despicable people, not the shortage of such platforms.

I remember when Alex Jones was an entertaining guest on a variety of shows like Coast to Coast talking about lizard people among us and the Illuminati at Bohemian Grove, but he's "evolved" into something very different now.
