***Roe v Wade Overturned***

as they should be. 70+% of the population across both parties supported RvW. this is completely against the wishes of a majority of the country

A) That's not true in the sense you're trying to make it true. Of course, you know that but you'll continue doing it anyway.

B) If you think it is true, you'll have no trouble passing laws that will make abortion the law of the land. Either way, nothing to complain about.

Then again, you know what you said isn't true which is sad.

Broad support for abortion rights: Gallup polls show Americans’ support for abortion in all or most cases at 80% in May 2021, only sightly higher than in 1975 (76%), and the Pew Research Center finds 59% of adults believe abortion should be legal, compared to 60% in 1995—though there has been fluctuation, with support dropping to a low of 47% in 2009.

So you linked something that doesn't support your statement? Really? The Gallup poll doesn't say legal in all or most... it says legal only under certain which would include cases of rape and incest to which even a lot of moderate pro-life people would answer to the affirmative. It's a completely misleading question designed to achieve a result. And even on that basis, you still misconstrue and mangle the question to try and fit your narrative. Good grief man.

If that is true, it will be easy to pass an amendment in support of abortion.

Second that if 70 per cent is in favor of a Roe versus Wade law please pass it

And I will support the law

instead of acting like a crazy Zombie mob of blood thirsty tribal idiots who try to use physical violence and hate against lawful behavior

Nancy Pelosi , Joe Biden , Merrick Garland with the rest of the elitist liberal left are the major reason for hate violence and the surge of crime in this country

Keep it up folks as you are making the world a worse place

Women were a big part of Trump's loss.

Women were a big part of the Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate's win in VA.

Women will play a big part in November.

Just keep in mind that for many suburban moms in the south, their rights and personal freedoms just changed overnight.

Both of my sisters are MD’s, both moms and neither has mentioned a word about it today. I think it’s overstated big-time that all women will care about this. I realize I gave you example of only two people, but I just don’t think every single female, especially in the south, will have a negative enough view on this where it will actually change their vote.

I also think most people are smart enough to realize the Supreme Court just gave each state the power to make these decisions on their own, so if somebody wants an abortion just go to another state if yours does not allow it.

I can be dead wrong, but I just do not see a way Republicans don’t have a really strong November.

What do you think is going to be the driving force for who women vote for in the fall? The ability to have abortion on demand? An ability that the majority of them will never need. Or the fact that gas is over $5 a gallon and their paycheck isn't worth what it was 2-3 years ago because of the morons Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi. Let me give you a hint from someone whom you should admire. "It's the economy, stupid..."

Unfortunately, @nytigerfan lost himself in the forest of politics a long time ago. He sees everything through a political lens and how anything that happens affects elections. That's evident in his Biden 63% post and pretty much everything else he comments on.

What I would suggest is evident on this board. I see the world very differently from @nytigerfan and many others here. His views and belief are no less valid than my own. We occupy the same country and that's why federalism is the only path forward for us as a nation. We should not have a central government crushing people under the boot of mob rule. The best hope we have is a small central government and a lot of states operating under the rule their citizens.

Common sense lives.

You are objectively wrong. And if it was just the economy stupid, as "penishead barely democrat" said 30 years ago, trump would still be president.

And the way you framed this, "an ability to have abortion on demand? An ability that the majority of them will never need" is not at all how this will be framed.

Again, if there is 80% support, an amendment is a slam dunk.
You really don't understand the process of an amendment, do you? There is a reason that the Senate is set up the way it is... Our founding fathers wanted to keep the majority rules absolutely off the board. So lets look at Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming (total Population - about 3.5 million ). And the population of California, NY, and Mass (total population - about 67 million) these states have equal representation in the Senate. That's just over 1% of the population with the same representation as 22% of the population. BUT an amendment still requires a 2/3rd vote in the Senate. THEN 3/4 of the 50 state legislatures have to approve (regardless of population). It's NOT a slam dunk

For instance, if you were looking to implement the 13th amendment (no slavery) and there was never another slave state added to the US after 1860 (all the rest of the 50 states are free states... You still couldn't get the amendment passed.

I think it will energize the dem base well. I also agree it will be framed much differently. No way the dem politicians will be truthful about the POSSIBLE impact it could have.
The fact is that this will likely impact less than one tenth of one percent of the population any given year in the worst case scenario, and probably less than that. Still, the lunatic fringe will come alive and have you believe 100 million women are going to be forced to have babies in abandoned buildings with no healthcare due to not having access to abortion bc much of this country has lost the ability of critical thinking.

Praying that the left doesn’t burn down our country tonight which is typical of their base! Mob rule with no repercussions and no rebuke from their leadership!
Agreed, I too am hoping for no violence tonight. At least we don't have to worry about them attacking the capitol, that's a right side thing... you know. Mob rule with no rebuke from their leadership...

That person has 162 followers. What's the point here? She used racist language and should be cancelled. She's being blasted in the comments. Again, whats the point, almost nobody give a **** what she says except for a bunch of conservatives who think she's making a point for them.

Mmhmm... That's very indicative of the attitude that I see day in and day out from people like that on that side of the political sphere.

Some of us need a civics lesson. The SC's only purpose is to interpret law based on the Constitution. Abortion is not in the Constitution. Therefore RvW created a law that was not within their power. Simple as that. The illusion that RvW was a law is incorrect. Only the legislature can create a law. Abortion is legal if deemed so by legislature.
by this interpretation of the living constitution you don't have the right to any privacy what so ever. we can repeal HIPAA laws and buy and sell your information for the highest bidder. Also we can spy on you whenever we want

Our Constitution says what it says and it doesn't say what it doesn't say. There is a clear and defined process for making changes and that is something that we have lost the ability to do because we'd rather ram things down each other's throats. If any decision by the court creates something that didn't exist before then it is a bad decision pretty much. Supreme Court provides us with direction based on the Constitution and then we the people can decide what we're going to do about it.

That's good for people who can afford it. And some of these states are already saying they want to punish their citizens who go out of state for an abortion. As I said in my original post, how is this going to be enforced? All the folks on here celebrating might not like it when the cops knock and the door and demand that your teenage daughter take a pregnancy test in front of them.

I would be happy to not have to subsidize your asses anymore. These southern states need to be weened off the teet, pull themselves up by their bootstraps and make their own way.

It does make me sad to know what a cesspool of crime and anarchy my birth state of SC is going to become in about 15 years. So sad. I will pray for you.

What a great day for the unborn! I’m so thankful the Supreme Court actually righted an egregious wrong!! Praise the Lord!!
All things being equal, should vasectomies be outlawed as well??? You can't have one without the other.

We know how the mob handles their business. Im sure death threats are gonna be coming strong for the justicies and their families.

You gotta love the smell of checks and balances in the morning though. Constitution is putting power back in the states hands instead of in the hands of the political elite in D.C.
That last sentence is what they fear second most.

You know there are going to be some major riots tonight. This is what the democrat (communist) party has become. When the court hands down rulings that they dont agree with, its time to revolt, disrespect and riot. The political elite on the left are going to fan the flames. We see this too often

Really feel for the justices and their families in the coming weeks. We've already seen assassination attempts.

Lol what? South Carolina isn't perfect but it is a great place to live and raise a FAMILY. If you haven't noticed, a lot of people are moving to the south to get away from your ideology

I would gladly let dem voters support each other while pub voters support each other.
