For years South Carolina has had a major in basically PE. Alot of young men who wanted to go into coaching went to scar to major in PE and became HS coaches in SC especially in football. Plus, scar has a huge advantage in Alumni vs Clemson instate. So, a lot of the HS players in SC have had scar pushed on them from an early age. Clemson has done a great job in state, but it has always been a battle. Paul or Larry needs to do an article on this.
