Another federal judge this week admitted the courts have no authority in second-guessing the president's key deportation policy.
Judge John Holcomb (Trump):
"The plain text of the AEA makes clear that the President’s authority to detain and remove noncitizens hinges upon the President’s 'proclamation' that 'any invasion or predatory incursion is perpetrated, attempted, or threatened against the territory of the United States.'
By its nature, that congressional grant of authority leaves it to the President to decide whether an 'invasion' or 'predatory incursion' has occurred. And, because the AEA permits the President to decide whether those events have occurred, the AEA necessarily also grants to the President the discretion to decide what those terms mean."

Why does it need to be someone that called out whatever egregious actions you’re referring to under Biden? This isn’t a debate. The Trump administration denied him due process. Conservative SCOTUS agrees with that, yet some in this thread want to ignore it because Trump is their guy. Just acknowledge that point at least.

Not a fan of using the military to police. I understood the marines will be used to defend federal buildings.

Even if the National Guard the first use is in support of police to free up more police to engage with the rioters. Police are the ones that have the training in the use of force continuum and how to arrest people so troops are used first in roles that don't involve that. Securing areas already cleared by police, transporting detainees, etc. etc. .
Nobody wants the bad optics from the1960's with soldiers clubbing and shooting people if they can avoid it.
