We were not a good defensive team. I have a hard time believing it’s personnel related although we definitely had some glaring deficiencies, i.e. DE, CB, and in some cases LB. But it’s been a while since I’ve seen a team so poorly prepared. Gap integrity and tackling were all-time bad.
Dabo will make a change by Jan. 1, but I’ll be curious whether that causes portal action from some of our stars.
That being said, we’d better retain Cade and those 3 WR at all costs, and I think we must go get a star RB1. The offense has a chance to be record book great in 2025.
We also need a punter. Our 10th year punter cost us around 75 yards last night.
